China's President Xi Jinping is expected to visit Hong Kong on June 30, ahead of a ceremony to commemorate the 25th anniversary of China's return in Hong Kong on July 1.

President Xi hasn't been out of mainland China since January, and Hong Kong is on high alert ahead of his visit.

In Hong Kong, it has been 25 years since the return from the United Kingdom to China on July 1, and a commemorative ceremony will be held to celebrate this, as well as an inauguration ceremony for Mr. John Lee, the chief executive of the government.



In line with this, on June 30, Hong Kong media visited Hong Kong from Shenzhen * Sen in southern China, where China's President Xi Jinping is adjacent, participated in related events, and then returned to Shenzhen * Sen on July 1. He says he will return to Hong Kong and attend commemorative ceremonies.

In preparation for President Xi's visit, Hong Kong is on high alert, with restrictions on the passage of citizens around the ceremony venue and high-speed rail station, and a large number of police officers guarding the city.



It is the first time that President Xi has left the mainland of China since he visited Myanmar in January, and it is the first time since the infection of the new coronavirus spread and the city was blocked in Wuhan, but in Hong Kong. In June, the number of newly infected people has exceeded 1,000 per day and is on the rise again, and unusual measures have been taken, such as isolating attendees of the commemorative ceremony in advance at the hotel.
