Operations to secure and solidify the building under construction which recently collapsed in Vincennes (Val-de-Marne) and its surroundings have begun.

The first equipment needed for the work was delivered to the site overnight from Monday to Tuesday.

A large arm excavator was notably transported by an exceptional convoy, reports Actu Val-de-Marne.

Cranes, mechanical shovel and straw bales

This arrival will be followed by that of the straw bales which will be placed in the alley between the partially collapsed building and the neighboring school.

This establishment, as well as a crèche, had been evacuated on the day of the collapse.

The children have not been allowed to return since.

Their activity will not resume until next September.

Among the planned interventions is the removal of cars left in the parking lot.

It will be done with a crane.

The installation of the various equipment and vehicles used will disrupt traffic, warned the City.

Traffic and parking will, for example, be prohibited in one of the streets for several weeks.
