During the afternoon of June 25, a passer-by alerted that a woman was lying in the water in Bureå in Skellefteå.
Police, ambulance and ambulance helicopter were called to the scene and began emergency operations.
- There is a person found in the water and we are working on a rescue operation right now, said Simon Webeklint, rcl officer at the police, to SVT Nyheter Västerbotten earlier.
The woman was then taken to Norrland University Hospital by ambulance helicopter.
The woman is now being cared for in the intensive care unit with life-threatening injuries, according to a patient injury report from the hospital.
