Footage from the scene showed that the tornado caused the roofs of many houses in Zierikze to be lifted, 10 to 20 rental houses were severely damaged, the tiles of some houses were scattered on the streets, and trees were blown down by the strong wind.

There are also photos showing furniture such as sofas and seats being blown onto the streets, leaving the streets in a mess.

The staff of the fire department and other relevant departments have launched rescue efforts in the local area.

The "Zeland Safe Area" reminds people to stay away from tornado-affected areas as the cleanup continues.
