Russia is ready to stop the fighting, but on one condition and not just any.

“The Ukrainian side can end (the conflict) within a day.

Nationalist units must be ordered to lay down their arms, Ukrainian soldiers must be ordered to lay down their arms and all the conditions set by Russia must be implemented.

Then it will all be over in one day,” Vladimir Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

According to him, no deadline or timetable has been set on the Russian side: “we are orienting ourselves in relation to the declarations of our president”.

Dmitry Peskov once again assured that "the special military operation was going according to plan", using the euphemism of rigor in Russia to speak of the assault on Ukraine.

Peace talks have been stalled for weeks, with each side blaming the other
