It is reported by TASS.

According to Polyansky, first of all, such a speech should have been agreed with all the representatives of the countries present.

“On this occasion (Zelensky's speeches. - RT ) there were no consultations with all members of the council, the delegations were actually confronted with a fact at the last moment.

This violates the established practice and traditions of the work of the Security Council,” he said.

In addition, the First Deputy Representative explained that traditionally representatives of countries speak in person at the UN Security Council, while the speech of the President of Ukraine took place using videoconferencing technology.

“The UN Security Council should not turn into a platform for President Zelensky’s remote campaign to beg for weapons from the participants in the NATO summit,” Polyansky stressed.

He believes that there should be no exceptions and peculiarities in the procedure for participation in the meeting for Ukraine.

Earlier, Dmitry Polyansky said that by meeting the UN Security Council, Kyiv is trying to create a favorable background for "begging" for additional supplies of weapons from the West.

He also noted that representatives of the West "pushed" Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's participation in the UN Security Council meeting via video link.
