“NATO is a fairly aggressive bloc.

This is a bloc that was created for the purpose of confrontation, and it continues to demonstrate its essence, ”Peskov said.

According to him, NATO continues to fulfill its default task - to move the alliance's infrastructure towards the Russian borders.

Peskov noted that this process has been going on for several decades.

He added that the Ministry of Defense is developing plans to strengthen the western borders in connection with the actions of the alliance.

In May, Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council potential threats from the decision of Finland and Sweden to join NATO.
