The Norwegian state was previously a partner in SAS but left the company a couple of years ago.

Among the Norwegian media, there have been reports that the Norwegian state may be on its way into the crisis airline again.

The Swedish government has previously announced that it will not add any new capital to the company's rescue package in connection with SAS now trying to reduce its liabilities by the equivalent of SEK 20 billion.

In addition to the financial threat, SAS is also grappling with a continued threat of a strike that could break out on Wednesday if a solution is not found.

- Mediation is currently underway, so then we will not comment on the situation, but we hope that we will be able to reach a solution, SAS's communications director, Karin Nyman, told TT yesterday.
