The lawyer represented a client who was suspected of a serious weapon crime and aiding and abetting an attempted murder.
This after a shooting where seven shots were fired in a residential area on Östergård in Halmstad 2019.
The client then claimed in court that a pistol that appears to have been handed over in a filming was plugged in and could not be used.
Probation
According to the ruling in Halmstad District Court, the lawyer has provided information between his detained client and other people involved about the plugged pistol that was placed in a basement, as false evidence, with the aim of getting the client acquitted of attempted murder.
The lawyer has denied the accusations and during the trial he chose to remain silent with reference to legal practice.
He is sentenced to a suspended sentence and a daily fine.
