A pharmacist from Nogent-sur-Oise (Oise) was kidnapped and assaulted at her home, above her pharmacy, on the night of Thursday to Friday.

The 75-year-old victim had been awakened by noises in his apartment, reports

Two thugs were at her house.

According to CCTV footage, they stole a ladder and entered the house via the terrace.

There, they would have removed the panes of an armored door, after dismantling the shutter.

Saved by the alarm

The shocked septuagenarian does not remember the exact words of the burglars, only that they asked her where the money was.

The pharmacist was grabbed by the throat and left arm by one of the men, who also threatened her.

The pharmacist would have told the two burglars where to find the safe, but the alarm would have gone off.

Police arrived on the scene within minutes.

An investigation has been opened.

The pharmacy has been monitored at night since this attack and the alarm system will be reinforced, specifies the Ile-de-France daily.
