While the US Supreme Court decided to revoke the right to abortion on Friday, several cyberattacks immediately targeted states that have banned abortion.

.

These cyberattacks were claimed on Sunday by a group of hackers claiming to have acted in order to protest against the decision of the Supreme Court and to put pressure on the States which would consider introducing in turn anti-abortion legislation.

"The attacks will continue"

Since the revocation of the judgment which guaranteed, since 1973, the right to abortion of American women, at least eight States have prohibited all abortions.

In addition, abortion clinics in Missouri, South Dakota and Georgia were immediately closed.

So many territories that could be the next targets of hackers.

“The attacks will continue.

Our main targets are all organizations against abortion, which includes all servers in states that have anti-abortion legislation,” they announced.

By attacking the servers of Kentucky and Arkansas, hackers would have managed to obtain a large amount of personal information on landowners in Arkansas or employees of the State of Kentucky.

These data were then made available online.

"Even if they did not steal sensitive information, the claim has more weight than the loot because there is also a backdrop of competition between groups of hackers who like to mobilize on social issues" , said Sergey Shykevich, head of threat intelligence at Check Point Software.

According to him, other hackers could join this movement.
