Ukrainian Channel 24 reported on June 27, local time, that the death toll caused by the attack on the Kremenchug shopping center has risen to 13, Poltava state military and political chief Dmitry Lunin said. Another 59 people were injured.
Danilov, secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said on the same day that according to preliminary data, Russia hit Kremenchug with two missiles, one of which hit the shopping center and the other hit the city’s stadium.
On the same day, Russia's "Fighting Fake News" website stated that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russian troops had attacked a shopping center in Kremenchug.
In fact the shopping center is next to the Kremenchuk Road Machinery Plant and the Kremenchuk Railway Station.
The mall was used to store military equipment, according to sources with knowledge of the special military operation.
