The Pôle 45 industrial zone, located north of Orléans (Loiret) has been the scene, since Monday morning, of an action carried out by employees of the transport sector.

The employees set up a filtering dam at 7 a.m., which caused major traffic jams.

They are asking for an increase in their salaries, indicates France Bleu Orléans.

A morning of mobilization

A 3% increase in remuneration had been validated.

The protesters, however, believe that this figure is insufficient.

The unions have notably highlighted the phenomenon of inflation, which is undermining the purchasing power of employees, whom they call on to join their movement.

The dam should be maintained throughout the morning.

The initial objective was to prevent only truck traffic.

Given the volume of road traffic in the area, the operation slowed down all vehicles considerably.

Several kilometers of traffic jams quickly formed in the industrial zone and its surroundings.

Unions in the transport sector organized actions across the country on Monday.
