This year, the festival gets two extra days - and also two parades will be held, one in Karlskrona and for the first time one in Sölvesborg.

- It was 2020 we would have had the parade there, but there was a pandemic in between.

Even though it has been some time since the flag debate in the municipality, we think it is important to show that there is love in Sölvesborg as well, says Sophia Ahlin.

In Karlskrona, the parade is held from Kungsbron to Fisktorget and the association also welcomes joining the parade by boat, via the waterway.

Silent minute for Oslo's victims

It was the night before Midsummer's Day that a man shot at a bar street in central Oslo in Norway.

Two men were shot dead and about twenty people were injured.

The incident is suspected as a terrorist crime as many of those who were found were in a gay bar.

- It felt very much in the stomach.

Of course you get an unpleasant feeling, says Sophia Ahlin.

To honor the victims in Oslo, both parades in Blekinge will begin with a minute of silence.
