"Very bad blood flowing"
The chairman of the council, Tomas Vedestig (SJVP), believes that it has become really chaotic in the last two years with personal attacks, party divisions and a bad mood.
- There is a lot of bad blood flowing and it feels like you are out to take revenge on each other instead of pushing the municipality forward and it is tragic.
It's more about personal issues and less about factual issues, says Tomas Vedestig.
"Many stay away"
He understands that the municipal residents react strongly to the way politics is conducted and that some compare it to quarrels in a sandbox.
- We video broadcast all council meetings and anyone who wants to can see how politicians behave towards each other.
If you have a reasonably healthy mindset, you stay away, he says.
