His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, received yesterday the Chairman of the Transitional Military Council in the friendly Republic of Chad, Mohamed Idriss Deby.
At the beginning of the meeting, which took place at the Beach Palace, the head of the Military Council offered his condolences to His Highness and the people of the UAE on the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, recalling the good deeds of Sheikh Khalifa, and his humanitarian works, which left an impact on many societies around the world. .
He also congratulated His Highness on assuming the presidency of the UAE, wishing him success in leading the country to further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, His Highness and Muhammad Idris discussed friendship relations and opportunities to develop prospects for cooperation between the two countries in various aspects, especially economic, investment and development goals, which serve the goals of sustainable development and prosperity, in a manner that achieves the common interests of the two countries.
The two sides also exchanged views on all regional and international issues and developments of common concern.
The President of the Chadian Transitional Military Council praised the development projects and qualitative charitable and humanitarian initiatives implemented and supported by the UAE, which aim to improve the lives of peoples around the world, especially in the African continent.
