- When I went to the polls with the center in 2018, I wanted to keep Solgården.

But after the election, the center changed and wanted to close down the accommodation.

Then I am still quite proud that I insisted that I did not want to put it down, says Frida Sundqvist-Hall.

The infected question of Solgården's closure is the common thread in Frida Sundqvist-Hall's political career.

After working as an assistant nurse at Solgården for almost 20 years, she decided to get involved in politics, at the same time as she furthered her education as a sociologist.

- I felt that I really wanted to change.

Then I understood that you do it in the political arena and not in a business, says Frida Sundqvist-Hall.

Political "walk of shame"

After the 2018 election, Frida entered the municipal council with the Center Party, but after the Solgården betrayal, she chose to change party.

Then the choice fell on LPO (Rural Party Independent).

But the time there was short, when Frida thought that the party was ruled with "dictatorial elements".

- There were dialogues in the curtains that I did not appreciate.

Together with some other former party comrades, who also left the LPO, Frida became a political savage in the town hall.

She chose to keep her political assignments in the municipality's committees and board.

- The council chamber itself is like a lion's ball.

You have to go the walk of shame.

It's when you get politically wild and get rid of your logo, you get a stretch as party coverage and get to sit where it suits.

In the spring of 2022, Frida announced that she was joining the Christian Democrats in Uppvidinge.

Now she is on the party's list for municipal council.

- I will open Solgården, she says.
