Canada will take additional and immediate action to ban the export of a number of advanced technologies that could improve Russian domestic defense manufacturing capabilities, including quantum computers and advanced industrial equipment, related components, materials, software and technology.
At the same time, Canada is imposing sanctions against six individuals and 46 legal entities associated with the Russian military-industrial complex.
Also, the Canadian side introduced a number of restrictions against Belarus.
Sanctions were imposed on 13 Belarusian citizens and two organizations.
In parallel, Canada banned the export of advanced technologies and goods to Belarus, as well as the import and export of a number of luxury goods.
Earlier, the White House said that Washington would impose visa restrictions on about 500 Russian officials.
