Eventful evening for the gendarmes in Argelès-sur-Mer.
While intervening to stop fights in the seaside resort of Pyrénées-Orientales, on the night of Saturday to Sunday, the gendarmes of the PSIG (Peloton of surveillance and intervention of the gendarmerie) were taken to task by the one of the belligerents.
The defendant rebelled at the time of his arrest.
He allegedly spat at the police and tried to hit them.
Arrested, he was taken into custody at the Argelès gendarmerie.
