ADNOC: An agreement with Nafes to create 3,000 job opportunities for citizens

Yesterday, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Emirati Competitiveness Council (Nafes), aimed at creating 3,000 additional job opportunities for citizens, through the supply chain for ADNOC's business and activities by 2025.

According to the agreement, ADNOC will intensify its efforts to ensure that private sector companies operating within the supply chain for their operations benefit from the package of programs and incentives offered by Nafes, to enhance the participation of Emirati cadres in the private sector.

The agreement will also contribute to raising the efficiency and competitiveness of the country's citizens, and encourage them to take advantage of the opportunities offered by the "Nafis" program.

The signing of the agreement was witnessed by the Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, the Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC and its group of companies, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, and the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, Dr. Abdul Rahman Al Awar, and it was signed by the Secretary-General of the Emirati Competitiveness Council, Ghannam Al Mazrouei, and the CEO of the Department of Human Resources, Technology and Institutional Support In "ADNOC" Abdel Moneim Al Kindi.

Sultan Al Jaber said that the agreement embodies ADNOC's commitment to encouraging the private sector to employ young Emirati males and females through close cooperation with Nafes and private sector companies in the supply chain for ADNOC's operations and activities and its group of companies, to facilitate alignment of the talents and competencies of Emirati cadres with the jobs provided by businesses and activities. "ADNOC".

As the country prepares for the next fifty years, Nafes aims to empower Emirati youth and increase their participation in the private sector, to ensure their continued effective contribution to building a sustainable and diversified economy, to advance economic development in the country.

Nafes offers a package of initiatives and programs specifically designed to integrate UAE nationals into existing and new fields within the private sector.

The program relies on cooperation between the federal government, local authorities and private sector companies, to achieve common interests and build a stronger and more sustainable economy.

Ghannam Al Mazrouei said that the agreement contributes to empowering national cadres and enhancing their contribution to the sustainable development process that the country is witnessing.

Since the launch of ADNOC's successful In-Country Value program in 2018, more than 3,500 skilled and qualified nationals have been employed in private sector companies operating within the supply chain for ADNOC's business and activities.
