After the shooting on Saturday night that deprived two people of their lives, Matapour has been deprived of his liberty.

On Monday, a large number of media, including Aftenposten and NRK, report that he must have been in the circle around Arfan Bhatti - who in 2012 was involved in creating the organization The Prophet's Ummah.

Already the same year, according to Norwegian public service NRK, the group was investigated by the Norwegian security police PST after threatening with "a new July 22" - the date of the right-wing extremist terrorist attack on Utöya and in Oslo.

NRK further reports that Bhatti, on July 14 this year, published a picture of a burning pride flag on social media.

On his profile picture at the time, there was also a quote that called for killing homosexuals.

The men must have driven a car together

At a press conference this weekend, PST stated that Matapour and Bhatti recently traveled in the same car in connection with a demonstration against a Koran burning.

A statement that Matapour's defense lawyer John Christian Elden did not comment on further than writing to TV 2:

"As far as I know, my client was neither reported nor arrested during the drive."

The lawyer also stated that he has no details - except that the men were neighbors - about the relationship between his client and Bhatti.

Matapour formerly known to police

As recently as May, PST had contact with Matapour after, according to their information, he showed interest in statements that were perceived as violating Islam.

- It was not considered in these conversations that the perpetrator had intentions of violence, but PST is aware that the perpetrator has had challenges linked to mental health, said Børge Enoksen at the Oslo Police on Sunday.

It reports TT.

The country's Minister of Justice has announced that both the police and PST will be examined on how they handled the information they previously had about Matapour.

SVT is looking for an interview with chamber prosecutor Ingvild Myrold.
