A statement from the Jordanian Armed Forces regarding the incident of the toxic gas leak in Aqaba

The official spokesman for the Jordanian Armed Forces confirmed that the Arab Army forces are responding to the national call in dealing with the incident of the leakage of poisonous gas in Aqaba, which resulted in 10 deaths and 251 injuries, by taking several immediate measures in order to mitigate the effects of the incident, and based on its great national concern in Protecting the Jordanian society from all dangers and disasters.

Toxic gas leaked at the main port of Aqaba today, Monday, as a result of the fall of a tank filled with a toxic gaseous substance during its transportation.

The Jordanian Armed Forces called on citizens in Aqaba not to gather in front of hospitals, in order to facilitate the work of ambulance cadres to deal with the case of the toxic gas leak.
