A father dropped off his 11-month-old daughter on Wednesday morning, around 7:45 a.m., at the People & Baby private crèche (Lyon 3rd).
Only 15 minutes later, the firefighters were contacted urgently to provide assistance to the child, who was unconscious when they arrived at the establishment.
Despite all the resuscitation attempts made, the infant died at the Bron Woman Mother Child Hospital (HFME), where he had been rushed to.
The public prosecutor's office opened an investigation on Thursday "on the count of manslaughter", the first elements supporting the hypothesis of ingestion by the child of a toxic product.
How has the investigation evolved since Wednesday?
The investigation for "manslaughter" took a chilling turn on Friday, since the only childcare assistant present at the nursery at the time of the events, placed in police custody, confessed her responsibility in this tragic death.
