The driver of a private coach transporting members of a religious community died on Sunday after losing control of the bus which crashed into the facade of a building in Paris, near Porte de Clichy, a-t -we learned from the firefighters.

No casualties to report among the passengers

“The driver, probably the victim of an illness, unfortunately died.

We deplore 19 minor injuries, including a child,” a spokesman for the Paris fire department told AFP, adding that the accident occurred in the middle of the morning.

An AFP journalist on the spot noted that the coach had knocked down a tree and a candelabrum before crashing into a building, not far from the Paris judicial court, in the 17th arrondissement of the capital.

The passengers on the coach were members of a religious community, said the spokesperson for the Paris fire department.

There were no casualties in the building where the coach ended its journey.
