Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a meeting with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko yesterday (25th local time) that he would deliver missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads to Belarus within a few months.

"In the next few months, we will be transferring a missile system that can be used as a ballistic missile or as a cruise missile," Putin said.

He also proposed that the Belarusian military aircraft be converted to use nuclear weapons.

Putin has mentioned the possibility of using nuclear weapons several times since he invaded Ukraine in February.
