The hospitality industry was hit hard during the pandemic.

In Värmland, the number of foreign visitors decreased from 848,000 in 2019 to 180,000 in 2020.

Last year, the figure was 290,000, according to statistics from Visit Värmland.

But before the summer of 2022, the booking pressure has increased.

- We see that they are finally coming back, says Mia Landin, CEO of Visit Värmland.

- It is noticeable in the booking mode but it is also noticeable already now, one of the hotel managers in Karlstad told last week that they had had nine nationalities during the weekend, she continues.

The campsite has already had fully booked weekends

The foreign guests in the county come mainly from Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

At the campsite at Bomstad, it has so far during the spring been fully booked on a couple of weekends and the bookings for the summer promise a lot.

In the clip above, the camping owner David Nordentjell tells more.
