The Summit of Heads of State of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) and that of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA) will be held on Sunday July 3 in Accra, the Ghanaian capital. .
Leaders will mainly focus on the situation in Burkina Faso, Guinea and Mali.
After receiving the ECOWAS mediator for Mali, Bamako is taking other initiatives this Monday, June 27.

This Monday, the Malian Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdoulaye Diop receives in Bamako, in full, the diplomatic corps accredited in Mali.
The objective is in particular to reassure foreign diplomats on several points.
Mali does not intend to isolate itself from its partners in the sub-region.
And one of the objectives of the Malian authorities is to reach a solution with the sub-regional institutions for the lifting of the economic and financial sanctions affecting their country.
Throughout the week, in order to obtain the lifting of the sanctions, emissaries should also be dispatched abroad.
Inside the country, the Malian authorities intend to show the image of a sacred union for the lifting of sanctions.
Meetings, informal or not, are planned with civil society organizations and political parties in order to obtain their support.

The economic and financial sanctions in force weigh down the Malian economy, according to an internal document at the Ministry of Finance and the Economy that RFI was able to consult.
