- I think everything is sold at the right price, but a nice lakeside location always sells, says real estate agent Malin Bergström.

Just this day she has a tour of a holiday home in Smedjebacken municipality.

About 10 families have come to the show and Malin does not think that holiday home speculators have been significantly affected by the economic situation in Sweden with, among other things, higher interest rates.

- It seems to have a greater impact on the slightly more expensive objects, but the slightly cheaper ones people can still afford.

"Thought interest would go down more"

During the pandemic, the price of holiday homes and villas rose thereafter, there has been a slowdown, but when it comes to holiday homes, Maria is surprised by the development.

- I had expected that interest would go down more as the housing market in general has gone down - prices are falling and people have less money.

But with holiday homes, it still seems stable.
