Despite the aggression, Happio (23) had succeeded on Saturday in beating his personal best (48 sec 57) and validating the level of performance required by the French Athletics Federation (FFA) to participate in the Eugene World Championships in less than three weeks (July 15-24).
An FFA leader went to the Caen police station on Sunday morning to file a complaint, a spokesman for the organization said.
