Today, Saturday, missile strikes were renewed on the Khor Mor natural gas field, located in northern Iraq and operated by an Emirati company, for the third time within days.

Iraqi security sources said that the sirens sounded from inside the field, which is operated by the Emirati "Dana Gas" company, and is located in the Qadir Karam area of Chamchamal district in the Sulaymaniyah governorate in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.

It was not clear what damage this attack caused.

The Katyusha rockets were repeatedly fired at the Khormor field complex today, Saturday, Friday, and last Wednesday, without any party claiming these attacks.

Today, in a statement, the Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service said that a total of 6 missiles targeted the Khormore field in recent days.

"The Khor Mor gas field was targeted by a Katyusha missile at around 2:10 in the afternoon," Siddiq Muhammad, director of Qader Karam district, said in a statement to Agence France-Presse yesterday, adding that "it did not lead to casualties or damage and only caused a fire."

The field is located between the cities of Kirkuk and Sulaymaniyah in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq.

Since last April, fuel production sites in the Kurdistan region have been targeted with rocket-propelled grenades, for which no party has claimed responsibility.

Last May, the Kurgosk refinery, one of the largest in the oil-rich region, northwest of Erbil, the capital of Iraqi Kurdistan, was targeted.
