The US stock market rebounded sharply as fears of a rate hike have eased somewhat.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 823.32 points, or 2.68%, to close at 31,500.68.

The S&P 500 index rose 116.01 points, or 3.06%, to 3,911.74, and the tech-focused Nasdaq Index surged 375.43 points and 3.34% to close at 11,607.62, respectively.

The S&P 500 index posted its biggest one-day gain since May 18, 2020, in more than two years, Reuters reported.

New York's three major indexes also closed their first gains in June on a weekly record.

As of this week, the Dow rose 5.4%, the S&P 500 rose 6.5%, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 7.5%, ending the third straight week of declines.
