“The units of the People’s Militia of the Luhansk People’s Republic, with the support of Russian troops under the command of General of the Army Sergei Surovikin, as a result of successful offensive operations, completely liberated the cities of Severodonetsk and Borovskoye, the settlements of Voronovo and Sirotino of the Luhansk People’s Republic,” Konashenkov said.
He also stated that the territory of the Azot plant in Severodonetsk is controlled by the LPR forces.
The enemy's attempt to turn the industrial zone of the Azot enterprise into a stubborn center of resistance has been thwarted, Konashenkov stressed.
The head of the Luhansk regional administration controlled by the Ukrainian side, Sergei Gaidai, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine would be withdrawn from Severodonetsk.
