According to the association, the consulates in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novorossiysk suspended their work.

The reasons for this decision and the timing of the resumption of the acceptance of documents for a visa are not specified.

Earlier, the director of the fourth European department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Yuri Pilipson, in an interview with TASS, said that Greece had ceased to be a safe holiday destination for Russian tourists. 

Against the background of ongoing anti-Russian rhetoric from Greek officials, as well as local media disinformation about the situation in Ukraine, reports of discrimination and “even outright aggression” against Russians and Russian speakers continue to come in, Pilipson said.
