According to a report from the Singapore Ministry of Health on the evening of June 24, local time, in a residential building in Jalan Red Hill, Singapore, seven residents living in different units were diagnosed with tuberculosis within a year.

The building, which has a total of 749 residents, was tested for tuberculosis by the local Ministry of Health from May 27 to 31, and 574 people were tested, of which 170 tested positive.

The local health ministry said further testing was required to determine whether these people were infected with TB bacteria or had active TB disease.

  The local health ministry also said a new round of tuberculosis testing and chest X-rays will be conducted on June 24-25.

Testing is mandatory under the Infectious Diseases Act.
