Polish Foreign Minister Rau promised Ukraine and Moldova "active support" on the way to the EU

“Poland has always supported the aspirations of both countries to join the EU.

We assure you that we will actively accompany Ukraine and Moldova on their way to a European future,” he wrote on Twitter.

Earlier, Japan's Deputy Secretary General of the Cabinet of Ministers, Seiji Kihara, said that the country supports the EU's decision to grant Ukraine and Moldova the status of candidates for EU membership.

On June 23, the head of the European Council, Charles Michel, said that the EU summit had agreed on the status of candidates for joining the union for Ukraine and Moldova.
