• 19-J Juanma Moreno launches a 'soft landing' in the absolute majority to avoid falling into the errors of the PP in the past

  • Elections Moreno's roadmap after the absolute majority: investiture and government formed before August

The Andalusian PP does not want the absolute majority achieved in the Andalusian elections last 19-J to go to its head.

This Friday, before the board of directors of the

popular

Andalusians held in Seville, Juanma Moreno has marked the course that they must follow in the next legislature.

And despite the overwhelming victory achieved, with 58 seats, three more than those set for an absolute majority, the leader of the PP has warned his followers that

"we are going to govern as if we did not have that sufficient majority"

.

In this way, Moreno repeats the message that he already launched on the electoral night of 19-J, but now he does so before the senior staff of his party in Andalusia, thus marking the

roadmap

that should guide his formation during the next four years.

For Moreno, the PP must govern in the Junta de Andalucía as it has done in the last legislature,

"with an outstretched hand"

and "dialoguing until exhaustion" because the "58 seats are at the service of the Andalusians, who

have not given a blank check

."

In the last legislature, the PP governed in coalition in the Junta with Ciudadanos and had to seek agreement with other formations of the Andalusian Chamber to carry out the budgets and other key laws.

In the next period of sessions, although the PP already has an absolute majority and can approve its projects without the need to agree with other parties, there will be "dialogue" and they will look for

"meeting points"

because Moreno, as he himself has explained, aspires to "build the Andalusia of all" in which "differences are respected", "

without trenches

and without tension to face economic problems".

The 58 seats will not be "a slab"

"Let no one think that the 58 seats are going to weigh like a slab. We are different, we know

how to govern in a different way

and we cannot change that style. The things that are

better achieved with honey than with gall

," remarked Moreno, who intends to govern for "the majority of Andalusians, have voted what they have voted".

In tune with the messages that he has repeated during the electoral campaign and even before, especially since the regional congress last November, in which Moreno was re-elected president of the

popular

Andalusians, Moreno has warned his followers that he will govern for all Andalusians , "above each and every one of us and

above the particular interests and partisans

" of his political formation.

"That is

our style

and we are not going to lose it. Anyone who thinks differently will find society and the party misunderstood," Moreno has launched, as a warning to navigators, to the board of directors of his party.

In order not to fall into euphoria, Moreno has pointed out that it is "important to properly interpret the results" of the June 19 elections, in which the PP received 1,582,412 votes, 43.13% of the voters,

more than double

of those achieved in the 2018 elections, in which the PSOE of

Susana Díaz

was the most voted list, but was left out of the government, after the pact between the PP, Cs and Vox.

no euphoria

For Moreno, the results of the 19-J elections must be interpreted "without complacency, without euphoria and without relaxation, but with

responsibility

and commitment."

Of course, Moreno has stuck out his chest because "we have achieved a milestone: being the favorites in the eight provinces,

overcoming walls

like the one that the PSOE had built in Seville and that on June 19 we have pulverized thanks to everyone's effort," he added. .

Seville was the only Andalusian province in which the Socialists had always won every election since democracy began.

It has been like this until this Sunday.

"Although the compliment is positive, because it is a reinforcement, it can lead us to believe that we are much better than we really are; that is why now I ask more than ever for

humility

in our management and work and in our way of behaving," he added.

broaden the bases

Another of the keys to the PP's victory is that it has managed to broaden its support, monopolizing votes on the right and on the left, thus broadening its bases, just as Moreno has been defending for years.

"I wanted to build a party like what we are today: a political project with broad social bases, interclass, intergenerational, where

everyone fits

. That is why we call ourselves the Popular Party of the people", he said.

Andalusianism

is another of the flags raised by Moreno's PP, which has stressed that his party is "stuck to the ground" and, furthermore, it is a constitutional Andalusian political project

.

"We are Andalusians by and for Andalusia. We want to work from our land to make it bigger. Thus, we also make Spain bigger", he added.

In a national key, Moreno has lamented the

economic crisis

, which is affecting families and SMEs.

"We are aware that the main concern is to face the most basic cost: the shopping basket, gasoline... And we have to try to find a solution."

runaway inflation

Faced with "runaway" inflation, the Government of Pedro Sánchez, far from generating "certainties, creates uncertainties and anguish."

"Far from putting solutions, it puts patches. There is no direction or leadership while families suffer and half the government fights with the other half," Moreno said.

For this reason, he has asked the central government to make decisions "with determination", to be advised by experts and to "listen" to the main opposition party.

Likewise, he has valued the package of measures that the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, presented to the Government of Sánchez, which contemplated the reduction of VAT.

"I ask Sánchez to abandon this preventive policy, to listen more, to be more serene, more humble, to share and learn from other sectors in order to be able to propose effective measures to the Spanish people, not 'patch' measures as he has done until now. now," he added.
