It will be the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland. Talking about the future, Hong Kong youth Li Qiyang, who is engaged in China's tax consulting business in a well-known accounting firm in Beijing, said that he expects Hong Kong to further grasp the advantage of being a part of the country, not only to benefit from the country, but also for the country's development. make an effort.

In the year of Hong Kong's return, Li Qiyang was in the second grade of high school. He realized that "we have returned, and in the future, no matter life or career, we will rely on the motherland."

Afterwards, because he went to the United States to study for undergraduate and postgraduate studies, he did not stay in Hong Kong for a long time. Li Qiyang did not have more personal experience of Hong Kong's return.

It was not until 2003, when Li Qiyang returned to Hong Kong and took a job in one of the Big Four accounting firms, engaged in tax consulting in China, that he felt that he was closely connected with the country.

At that time, China officially joined the World Trade Organization (WTO) less than two years ago, but its efforts to attract foreign investment have been increasing.

"When foreign capital entered China, Hong Kong was generally used as the first stepping stone. Our daily business is to tell foreign investors how to enter China to set up a company and comply with Chinese laws and regulations." Li Qiyang said, the first job in his life It is related to the country, and it also makes him deeply feel the vigorous and upward development trend of the country.

In 2010, Li Qiyang went north and has been working and living in Beijing for nearly 12 years.

Due to work needs, he has been to many provinces and cities in the mainland including Shanghai, Suzhou, Fujian, Xi'an, Chengdu, and Chongqing.

He said that the stereotypes that he had heard about the mainland before going north, such as "low cultural level, chaotic environment and slow development", have also changed with the personal visit.

"After living here, you will find that it is completely different from what you have heard before. Walking around, you will also find that you must be here to feel how far the country has developed." Li Qiyang said.

For example, in urban architecture, when his parents took Li Qiyang to Beijing for a tour in his early years, the edge of the Third Ring Road was considered a suburb.

Now the Fifth Ring and Sixth Ring Road are also very prosperous, not to mention the fashion sense of CBD, Financial Street, and International Trade Business District.

In addition, many cities such as Xi'an, Chengdu, and Chongqing have developed very well, giving them the feeling of a metropolis.

As a professional, Li Qiyang is deeply touched by the continuous improvement and maturity of the mainland's financial, taxation and legal systems.

He recalled that in the early days, many jobs were not covered by laws and regulations, and they needed to be negotiated with relevant departments one by one to be resolved.

Later, I increasingly felt the rapid improvement of the legal system and the better business environment.

"After the 'Belt and Road' initiative was put forward, in addition to attracting foreign investment, the country also increased its foreign investment. This is also a significant progress for our country." Li Qiyang said.

In addition, there are technological advancements.

For example, in the past, it was necessary to fill in paper and pen for tax declaration for customers. If you fill in the wrong form, you have to go to re-collect the form. Later, you can download the form online. Now it is more convenient to declare directly online.

He also experienced the progress in life, such as the convenience of online shopping and express delivery.

"Especially for mobile payment, no matter what you buy, you can just scan the code on your mobile phone. You don't have to go to the ATM to get cash, which is much more advanced than Hong Kong."

The country is the strong backing of Hong Kong.

Li Qiyang believes that the development of Hong Kong depends to a large extent on the development of the country.

At the beginning of the handover, Hong Kong's advantages were mainly in port trade, as well as in the legal system and business environment.

Since then, the development of Hong Kong and the development of the country have become more closely linked and interlinked.

For example, in the "Belt and Road" initiative, Hong Kong also plays the role of "export to the sea"; with the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong's development has added new momentum.

As a "small and successful" young Hong Kong youth from Beijing, Li Qiyang suggested that Hong Kong youth turn their attention to the mainland, embrace the motherland, feel the rapid economic and social development of the country, and seize more opportunities and space brought by the development process.

In particular, the introduction of residence permits for Hong Kong and Macao residents in recent years, as well as the solution to the problems of Hong Kong and Macao compatriots buying houses in the mainland and their children going to school, have also provided more convenience for Hong Kong youth to work and live in the mainland.

He met a straightforward Northeastern girl and got married and had children.

From not drinking in Hong Kong, to learning to drink baijiu in Beijing, to following his wife to Yanbian for the New Year, drinking local small roasts, sitting on the kang head, watching the Spring Festival Gala, and feeling the warmth of a small northern town... Li Qiyang laughed and talked about his in-depth understanding of the customs and habits of the mainland Knowing and experiencing, it means that the future life plan is to continue to work hard in the mainland, and also contribute to the development of Beijing.
