Germany did not comment on reports about plans to nationalize part of Nord Stream 2

Earlier, Der Spiegel, citing sources, reported that the German Ministry of Finance was considering the possibility of expropriating the part of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline that runs through the country.

“I can’t comment on this – neither confirm nor deny,” RIA Novosti quotes the words of a ministry representative at a briefing in Berlin.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov called hypothetical statements about the possible nationalization by Germany of part of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
