Alerts from Sharjah Municipality to operators and users of investment parks regarding “vehicle washing”

Sharjah City Municipality has issued an alert to the operators and users of investment parking lots in the emirate regarding vehicle washing services within the yards.

In a decision, the municipality clarified that operators and users of investment parking lots are prohibited from providing or using vehicle wash services except through companies licensed by the competent authorities and authorized by the municipality to practice this activity in order to avoid violation.

The Director of the Public Parking Department, Hamed Al-Qaed, told "Emirates Today" that since the beginning of this year, the municipality has subjected about 1,700 parking spaces to fees in different areas of the city, according to the annual plan set by the Public Parking Department with the aim of providing the largest possible number of parking spaces, as the city of Sharjah is witnessing Urban and population growth, and a high turnout of visitors and tourists throughout the year, especially in light of the expansion of commercial traffic.

The leader noted that the municipality is keen to enhance the civilized appearance of the emirate and preserve the public’s property by closing the violating dirt squares, as it has closed since the beginning of this year 14 dirt parking spaces distorting the civilized appearance, after monitoring many negative behaviors in them, which distort the general and aesthetic appearance of the city. Leaving vehicles in them for long periods of time and parking randomly leads to dust and dust collection, as the municipality closed these yards after making sure that there are a sufficient number of regular parking spaces in those areas.
