A 50-year-old woman was sentenced Thursday by the court of Senlis (Oise) to three months in prison suspended for violence committed against vulnerable elderly people.

Employed in a nursing home in Lamorlaye to do housework, the fifty-year-old had notably jostled residents and hit a 101-year-old resident in the back of the head, reports

Denounced by his colleagues

The employee of the establishment, run by Korian, had been denounced by two other colleagues after 23 years of service.

In 2020, she was summoned by management for an interview prior to dismissal.

The head of the Ehpad then filed a complaint and then dismissed the employee, who threatened to seize the industrial tribunal.

During the trial, the defendant denied the violence, citing in particular a case of revenge on the part of a colleague.

His lawyer told Le

Parisien

that he was going to appeal.
