China News Service, June 23. According to comprehensive Taiwan media reports, Zhang Wenyi, a former "legislator" of the Kuomintang, died at home on June 15 due to multiple organ failure at the age of 74.

  According to reports, Zhang Wenyi was successful in business and was once a local black faction leader in Taichung County. He served as a "legislator" of the Kuomintang. He was later sentenced for a stock speculation case, and then faded out of the political arena, and lived in Taichung in his later years.

  Zhang Wenyi was born in a prominent family in Shalu District. His father used to run a food factory, a flour mill, a rice mill and a hospital, while he ran a shoe factory in Shalu.

  Zhang Wenyi and her relatives and friends founded the well-known women's shoes "Daphne", leading the fashion in the shoe industry. At present, the company is still managed by her two sons as chairman and general manager respectively.
