The news agency Siren has reviewed the temperatures during Midsummer's Eve in 21 Swedish locations, a selected weather station for each county - in Värmland Karlstad Airport.

Here, the temperature has only exceeded 20 degrees in seven midsummer measurements from the year 2000 until last year.

The warmest during the 2000s was at the measuring station in Karlstad in 2020 with 28.6 degrees.

It was more cold in 2014 with only 16.2 degrees.

- Midsummer is a bit of a turning point between the early summer which is generally a drier period, and the more high summer-like weather type when heavy showers begin to occur, says Sverker Hellström, climatologist at SMHI, to the news agency Siren.
