[Explanation] As the "July 1st" approaching, although the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, a new red landmark in Shanghai, has not yet been opened to the audience due to the epidemic, people from time to time ask the staff: "When can the Memorial Hall be visited?"

Shanghai is the birthplace of the party and the origin of its original aspiration; red is the distinctive background of Shanghai.

In the past five years, many changes have taken place in the birthplace of the party, the great spirit of founding the party has been vigorously carried forward, and the people living in this city are also working hard to continue to write a historical answer sheet that lives up to their entrustment and mission.

Our goal is to build one large memorial into three elevations.

First of all, it is a high ground for the presentation of historical resources of the Communist Party of China; second, we want to make the major construction a high ground for the dissemination of the party's founding stories; third goal, we are to make the major construction into a study of the spirit of great party building highlands.

[Explanation] On July 23, 1921, the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China was held at No. 106 Wangzhi Road (now No. 76 Xingye Road).

Today, the 18-square-meter living room and the oath hall next to the old site still retain their original appearance.

After nearly two years of construction, on June 3, 2021, the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China officially opened on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. The new basic exhibition "The Great Beginning - The History Exhibition of the Founding of the Communist Party of China" has passed 1,168 exhibition items and 612 pieces. The precious cultural relics vividly tell the story of the birth and birth of the Communist Party of China in Shanghai 100 years ago.

Today, the new Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China consists of the site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the former site of Bowen Girls' School, the oath hall, and the new exhibition hall.

At the same time, more and more people came to visit the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, hoping to learn more about the history of the founding of the Communist Party.

In the past five years, more than 5.6 million people have paid their respects to this spiritual homeland, and the memorial hall has become the most popular and hottest "check-in point" in Shanghai.

Our museum has a collection of 120,000 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, but in the past, due to the limitation of space, it was difficult for us to take out all these precious cultural relics for the audience to visit and pay their respects.

So now we are on the basis of such a new museum and under such a condition, we can present more of our cultural relics to the public.

[Explanation] Zhang Yuhan, director of the Exhibition and Research Department of the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, said that the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China launched the online exhibition "The City of Glory: A Glimpse of the Inheritance, Promotion, Protection and Utilization of Red Resources in Shanghai" in June. It comprehensively presents the fruitful achievements in the inheritance, promotion, protection and utilization of Shanghai's red resources in recent years, and vigorously promotes the great spirit of party building.

Since 2016, Shanghai has fully launched the "Birthplace of the Party" excavation and publicity project, excavating, protecting and making good use of red resources, focusing on promoting the construction and protection of "one museum and five sites".

Batches of old revolutionary sites have been repaired and opened, and batches of exhibitions have been upgraded... The golden signboard of Shanghai's "red culture" is getting brighter and brighter.

Xue Feng, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China, said that the Memorial Hall of the National Congress of the Communist Party of China will continue to make efforts to build a research center, extensively collect objects and documents reflecting the great spirit of the founding of the Communist Party, publish relevant research books, and hold various seminars.

In the past five years, the work of the one major (memorial hall) has also made great progress.

In the future, we will further excavate and spread the spiritual power contained in the site of the First Congress of the Communist Party of China, a treasure trove of precious red resources.

In the Spring Festival of 2022, we launched a special exhibition of "Great Party Founding Spirit". Our purpose this year is to make our "Great Party Founding Spirit" special exhibition travel to all corners of the country, so that our great Party Founding Spirit, the red it contains Genes can be better presented on the soil of our motherland.
