But it is not only in that place that Linköping changes during the Swedish Championship week.
- We will close part of the city on Thursday and Friday when we run the city track where roller skis and bicycles are decided, says Anders Thorén, who is project manager for the Swedish Championships week in Linköping.
Water sports in Kinda canal
Trädgårdstorget will be transformed into a street basketball court during the weekend and five water sports will be practiced in the Kinda canal.
A total of 31 sports are taking part in the event, which runs from 28 June to 3 July.
- I hope that this will be a boost for Linköping's citizens and invest in getting started in sports again.
Most events are free, but swimming, motorsports and artistic gymnastics (in part) cost money.
