Lack of Swedish strawberries by midsummer - drives up prices

The lack of strawberries not only means that they are harder to get hold of, but also that prices are rising.

In recent days, a liter of berries has cost more than SEK 100 in some places.

Like everything else right now, it also affects strawberries, says Anders Svensson, strawberry manager at Finnerödja Berries.

Half the expected delivery

Robin Harlen, site manager at Trädgårdshallen in Örebro, on the other hand, believes that growers they buy from have kept prices down, so that more people can afford strawberries for the midsummer table.

But if you want to get Swedish strawberries, you should hurry according to Robin Harlén, because the delivery has been almost half of what they expected.
