Maduro's words are reported by TASS.

“Here in Caracas, I declare that anti-Russian sanctions must be lifted.

It is necessary to normalize the economic situation in the world, from which the states of the global South are suffering,” the President said.

In addition, according to Maduro, the imposed sanctions turned out to be a boomerang that hit the economies of those countries that imposed them.

“The European and American elites are deaf and blind, they do not want to see the real state of affairs because of pride, because of a sense of superiority, because of the desire to take revenge on Russia,” he stressed.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Poland Pavel Yablonsky said that the EU authorities had begun work on the seventh package of anti-Russian sanctions.

The sixth package of EU sanctions against Russia was finally approved on 3 June.
