Two men were seriously injured in the violence in central Västerås yesterday, when a 16-year-old is suspected of having attacked with a sharp object.

A principal at a high school in Västerås was the one who was most seriously injured.

The Children and Education Administration in Västerås sees no connections between the principal and the suspected 16-year-old.

- We know that the suspected perpetrator is neither a student at the school for which our employee is the principal, nor has he been a student at the law school.

We can not see right now that there is any connection, but of course the police must investigate, says Åsa Lundkvist, director of the children and education administration.

The principals receive crisis support

On Wednesday, all principals in Västerås will meet due to yesterday's violence.

The principals receive crisis support, and it is also offered to all relevant colleagues and students.

- It is possible to contact our student health for various support measures, even if the students have summer vacation.

We are there if they need it, says Åsa Lundkvist.

How is the situation for the injured principal?

- The perception we have received is that it is a more positive situation now than when he arrived.
