The National Police has arrested seven young members of the Trinitarios youth gang,
five of them minors,
as alleged perpetrators of the stabbing of a 25-year-old man who was seriously injured in the La Gavia shopping center, in the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas widening.
The two adults arrested are a 19-year-old Peruvian and an 18-year-old of South American origin.
Among the minors arrested there are two girls and two of them are proven members of the Trinitarians.
The events occurred around nine o'clock at night last Monday, May 2, when
the victim was with a group of friends inside the Bershka store in the aforementioned shopping center, according
to the Madrid Police Headquarters.
The young people detected another group that was watching them permanently and in which some young people were hooded.
At the moment in which the victim and his companions entered one of the clothing stores, one of the assailants addressed, without saying a word, the 25-year-old man,
stabbing him in the chest that reached his pericardium. ,
the membrane that surrounds the heart.
According to what the Provincial Information Brigade has been able to verify, with groups specialized in youth gangs,
the members of both groups did not know each other at all and the event was caused by the rivalry between gangs.
The stabbed young man suffered a deep wound in the left hemithorax with pericardial involvement, being stabilized by Samur-Civil Protection toilets.
Later he was transferred in a very serious condition to the 12 de Octubre hospital in Madrid in a mobile ICU, according to the Madrid Emergency Department.
The attackers fled the scene after committing the attack.
Once identified, they were arrested on the 14th as allegedly responsible for two
crimes of attempted homicide and belonging to a criminal organization.
However, the investigation remains open and new arrests are not ruled out.
