The pot of roses had been discovered by a pharmacist who was surprised by abnormal variations in the stock of certain drugs.

A daily inventory was then set up and an internal investigation carried out within the service.

A common practice according to them

During the hearing, the three pharmacy assistants acknowledged the facts, admitting that the practice was common within the service.

This Wednesday, the criminal court sentenced the main defendant to a nine-month suspended prison sentence, the daily said.

His colleague received a three-month suspended prison sentence.

They are both prohibited from exercising their profession in the hospital environment for five and two years respectively.

The third agent, who still works in the hospital but in another department, gets off with a suspended fine of 300 euros.
