The partnership was announced from the Carrefour store in Drancy, decorated in the Olympic colors, with an athletics track in one of the main aisles, in the presence of judoka Teddy Riner, Tony Estanguet and Alexandre Bompard.

"With its popular roots, its 5,000 stores in France, and its blue-white-red logo, the Group wants to contribute to the success of this great sports festival, help all French people to participate and associate our brand with the beautiful values ​​of Paris. 2024," Alexandre Bompard said in a statement.

"It is a source of great pride for the 150,000 people who work in France under the Carrefour banner to take part in this adventure," he added.

Carrefour will in particular provide fresh and organic products for the meals which will be distributed to the Olympic and Paralympic villages "and thus promote French products while promoting a more sustainable diet", specifies the press release.
